Just great to wear and walk in October 19, 2008 Simon Watkins 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Had these over a year now, still almost as new to look at, just the sole betrays their mileage. Extremely supportive, totally weatherproof and comfortable all day long.
Exceptional shoe for everyday use August 1, 2008 Mr. J. D. K. Bishop (Cambridge, UK) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought my pair of pewter shoes in October 2005 and have worn them every day. They have been soaked to the core, buried in snow and been baked under tropical sun. A perfect travel companion to keep your feet dry, protected and comfortable. Excellent, tight support around the ankle. Laces are durable as well.
Great walking shoe! May 22, 2008 Highland Terrier (Scotland) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This is the 3rd pair I have bought. Had to stop wearing conventional walking boots due to Achilles tendon tear. These were the only shoes I have found which provide the stability of a boot, totally waterproof(worn all year round for walking in Scotland) and do not cut into the Achilles tendon. Completed The Great Wall of China Trek in them and they were perfect. Great grip. Off to trek in Cuba this year and require new pair.I have complete faith in them-they do not need any breaking in. I saw them recommended on an American website for folk that had Achilles problems.
