Our garden is very overgrown but this went through the hedges ^ shrubs like a hot knife through butter.

I am absolutely delighted with this hedgetrimmer. It does exactly what it says it will do. It holds the charge for at least a half-hour (mine went longer) and clips through reasonably thick hedge growth. It is easily adjustable for angle and height, and extremely easy to operate. I've used it several times, and it works even better than expected. It is lightweight, which is important for me as my privet hedge stands well above head-height. It clips through reasonably thick hedge growth without stalling. It feels perfectly safe, if used correctly, and it's fantastic not to have to drag a cord around the garden.
This trimmer runs strongly for around 30-45 minutes on a single charge. However, because I have a rather large hedge, I found I wasn't quite able to get the entire job done at once. As it takes about 15 hours to recharge the battery, I phoned G-Tec to request a second battery pack, so I could have two ready, each time I needed to trim the hedge.
The phone was answered promptly by an extremely pleasant G-Tech employee, and I was sent the second battery at a reasonable cost. It arrived two days after I made the phone call. Problem solved.
I had a couple of questions regarding this product before I started using it for the first time, so I phoned their helpline as instructed in the manual as well. I could not have been more pleased with the in-house service I received. The phone was answered promptly by the same person, both times I phoned. She was friendly, and extremely helpful, as the other one had been. Both times she contacted one of their engineers and phoned me back with the answers I was looking for, the first time within minutes, the second time within a couple of hours.
G-Tech's customer service, in this age of typical call-centre indifference, could not be better. I highly recommend this company, and this product in particular.

Fantastic! Makes cutting your hedge a doddle! Really light weight; safe - no ladders needed; easy to use and quick. I'm only a 5' 0" tall female, near retirement age and recovering from a neck fracture - and I could cut my hedge with this - no probs!! :) The telescopic handle and angle cutting capabilities are brilliant.
The only slight downside is that the battery only allows an hours cutting if you have an overgrown and big hedge - which I did! Needed recharging just before the job was completed which was a bit of a drag but otherwise excellent.

When my wife bought me the trimmer for Xmas I would have been quite happy if it was one of those tools you only used occasionally but when you used it you saved a lot of time. I am delighted to find it is one of those "how did I ever manage without it" tools. I use to trim loads of shrubs (especially useful on large ones), small trees, small and mediul sized hedges. It seems well made and handles very easily indeed. I can give it an unreserved recommendation.
