Shop around! November 12, 2008 Jon (Oxford, UK) After reading all the negative points the Brugo mugs got, and reading a recommendation to look at the OXO Liquiseal range, I did so and decided to purchase the OXO instead (for less cost!) If you simply want a mug (and let's face it, it's a MUG) that: doesn't leak where ever it's put - at all; is easy to drink from; keeps hot drinks hot; is easy to clean; then the OXO is your mug - it behaves like a sippable flask. Not sold in many places in the UK, but you can easily find a distributer on the web - it's does what it says on the box, simply and effectively. Bonus is that it looks pretty good too, and easily fits into a car holder.
Surprised at the negativity! August 19, 2008 D. S. Duncan (UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm surprised to see that the majority of comments about these Brugo Travel Mugs' is negative, because I'm VERY happy with mine? Nasty smell? Nope? Mine doesn't have ANY smell to it at all? Too small a 'sip'? Not in my opinion? There are two drinking positions - so if you find the smaller of them too small for your liking, just use the larger one. I'm happy enough with the smaller of the two, but the larger one allows what should be a perfectly acceptable quantity of liquid out at a time to satisfy most? As for: "... the chamber is very small so when it says you get a sip it really is a sip the chamber does not go all the way across the mug as seen in their promotional material..." by the same reviewer: I don't know what "promotional material" you were reading, because none of the images on the Brugo website suggest the drinking slot is full size/full length? And the top-down shot in the image above, also clearly shows it's a relatively small drinking slot in the top of the mug? "... only of good use in the car where you can keep it upright"? Sorry? I must be misunderstanding that comment - because it makes no sense to me at all? + "... difficult to clean"? "Difficult" in what way - exactly? I haven't found it any more "difficult" to clean, than any other mug I use? Finally... I'd like to take this opportunity to say a big "THANK YOU" to Rolf Jackson in their (Brugo's) customer services section. I had reason to contact them, and I received a reply to my enquiry less than 24hrs later o_0 Many thanks Rolf ^_^

I always have a coffee on the go and my old one died a death, i bought this with high hopes, i was not impressed, when it says sip it means a gnats sip and it doesnt keep your coffee hot for long, not happy considering the price
A not so convinced customer March 13, 2008 Mis Efh Van dijk (london) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Turns out is is only of good use in the car where you can keep it upright so what kind of travel mug is that! The advanced technique is not so advanced at all as I don't find it working. It is difficult to clean as well and it can't go in the dish washer. It's big and therefore not really easy to hold so what more can one say....
horrible taste/smell! March 6, 2008 davidatreides 16 out of 18 found this review helpful
OK, so the design seems fine - good in fact. BUT, the plastic the thing is made of gives off a nasty smell and also gives a nasty taste to your drinks!!! It's ridiculous! Obviously this is inexcusable I can't believe they've used a plastic that has this effect!
