Lovely 3x3 mtr Steel framed static gazebo with waterproof canopy. Designed to be a more permanent piece of garden furniture. The metal work and scrolling of the frame has been produced has been produced with great care and attention. The top canopy being waterproof can be left in situ throughout the season, however it can be easily removed if required. The frame has an anchor bar along the bottom allowing anchoring or fixing to hard standing. Either standing alone or with palnts trained up it really does compliment any garden. I was looking for a gazebo that could be left up all summer on the patio. I had previously owned two lighweight gazebos; one had lasted for three seasons, but the second was damaged last year in high winds . So I wanted a more heavyweight design with supports that wouldn't bend, and with sturdier joints than the plastic parts which held the cheaper gazebos together.
This chinese-made steel framed gazebo is certainly more heavyweight. It arrived very promptly, flat packed in a large box that took two of us to carry. It was easy to assemble by following the pictorial instructions provided. The roof poles are securely held together by sprung studs which engage with holes in the receiving tubes. All of the joint pieces are solidly made from metal. Fitting the canopy is really a two person job, since the green waterproof canvas had to be spread out over the top of the assembled frame.
The gazebo took around half hour to assemble, and has been sturdy, even on some of the windy days we had in May. The green supports are attractive and give the structure a lot of rigidity. Time will tell how long it will last. I suspect that because we will leave it outside for the whole season, after a time the coated steel structure will start to rust and require some retouching.
A good value purchase.
