Cheap - and deservedly so. January 4, 2008 R. Bailey (Hampshire, England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's said that you get what you pay for and, in this case, I found that to be absolutely true. Cheap, but not cheerful in any respect. Screw holes needed to be drilled (although this is not apparent in the description), wood was badly cut and did not align properly. After a partial assembly, I gave up as I really didn't want such an awful looking object in my garden.
wonderful!... just wonderful! August 27, 2007 Luke havers (uk) This is quite an invention! Gardman have created a fabulous new garden feature that not only looks pretty, but attracts birds to your home too!!! All you have to do is build it using a bit of elbow grease and some DIY attitude, then just simply add some peanuts and there you have it! Your very own garden zoo! And the great thing is it only costs 17 pound coins!
Building the bird table September 14, 2006 Jo 90 (Birmingham UK) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I read the reviews before buying this product but made sure I had a power driver when it arrived. I managed to build it in about half an hour with the dubious help of a three year old. A bit shocked about the height as it is quite small but a good quality table when built.
Did I order a different table? June 26, 2006 A. Ellingham (Nottingham) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I found it extremely easy to assemble, and took about 35 minutes. After assembling it was very well balanced, and the finish is to a high standard.
Bird Table no piece of cake!! May 17, 2006 Sparrow Fancier (UK - England) 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
Well, it looks good three hours or so down the line; but its not a piece of cake. Two of us found it hardwork to put together and we are both men - it needs a drill for the pieces and watch for the it maybe not balancing right. It would be easier if the pieces were coded to fit and holes ready drilled into counterpart slots linked by letters code. Comments of my helper follow! :- While the completed table is reasonably attractive and bares at least a passing resemblance to the photograph on the box, I was surprised at how poorly the wooden legs and props were cut (uneven, slightly varying in size). The holes provided to insert the screws are too small, and similarly uneven. I found that we required a drill in order to rectify this. Anyone lacking in physical fitness without the luxury of several hours to spend would be well advised to go the extra mile and buy a bird house that's damn well assembled in the first place.
