If you're like me you may not be too enthralled by listening to religious music. Saying that though, you are missing out on something that is very relaxing. You can put this album on and just listen to it, or play it as background music whilst doing something else (as I do).

Many people like me have found that listening to Gregorian Chant (named after Pope Gregory the Great), has a very relaxing influence and seems to help to de-stress. So, even if you are not religious you can still appreciate something to help cope with todays hectic lifestyles.

This has been recorded by the Cistercian monks of Stift Heiligenkreuz, which is apparently in the Vienna Woods and was founded in 1133. What they have produced is something that is very calming, relaxing and a sheer joy to listen to. I would recommend this to anyone, and tell them just to relax and have a listen, you might be surprised at how much calmer you feel, even if you only listen to it ten minutes at a time.

Included in this is a second cd of seasonal chanting for the Christmas period.

The previous edition got excellent reviews, and I'm going to start by giving this one the same treatment. When I ordered this, I didn't really think I would enjoy it. But something about is very relaxing and calming, and now there's an extra CD, well, that's just a bonus! As someone who dithered over buying the original, I'm glad I did because now its double value!

To the monks - great stuff, a job well done!
