buzzzzzzzz June 26, 2008 Ms. S. J. Smith (UK) The game is simple and fun. A great idea to supply buzzers as its stops people fighting for the remote control. lots of questions to keep you going so the game doesn't get too boring if you play it alot. I did have an issue with my DVD player (it's getting on abit now) not accepting the buzzers but turning off the DVD player, then turning it on again seemed to sort this out, and it works fine now!
A pain to set up - could be improved April 25, 2008 K. Mckay (Dorset, UK) We had to do the set up about 4 times before it worked properly, once we got it working though it was fun although there were probably still a few delays meaning the wrong people got the points (not good if you're competitive!) Don't really like the option of stealing someone else points but you can't do anything about that! Wouldn't pay 15 for it but if it's reduced it would be a good bit of fun for about 10. If the people who make this play it right they could produce a very good 2nd one but the first just screams for improvement.
Great fun :-) March 6, 2008 N. Gratton (Spain) This adds a twist to the interactive DVD quiz - instead of fighting over the remote control, you have a remote control each, provided in the pack, to answer your questions. You have to be the quickest to answer, pressing the correct coloured button on your remote control before your competitors. But be careful - if you get a wrong answer, you can lose points. There are a couple of minor negatives - the remote controls for each player attach to a control box using a cable; the control box needs to be pointed always at the DVD player and the cables are not that long. You're going to have to be sat pretty close to the people you're playing against. There are some animated cut scenes and voiceover comments interspersed during the game, and familiarity quickly breeds contempt! Neither of these detract much from the game. There is a good variety of question style and content, and in playing the game 3 times I've only repeated two or three questions. With three or four players, the competition starts to hot up and it becomes much more fun than with two. There are a couple of less usual rounds where you have the opportunity to mix around the scores or steal them from the other players. This makes it a game of strategy as well as general knowledge, adding an extra and fun dimension. Amazon currently have this for less than a tenner, and at that price I can easily recommend it!!!
Excellent family and friends fun! March 4, 2008 Kevin Fenton (Manchester UK) This is simple to set up, excellently presented and really really good fun! Gather a few friends, maybe a couple of drinks (within limits!) and look forward to a superb night of laughs and entertainment! We played it for 3 hours almost, and never tired! Ok, you may only use it a couple of times a year, but it's worth it! Highly recommended!
Good fun February 25, 2008 ct15 Unfortunately I couldn't get this game to work on my dvd player, however I don't blame the game as I have a pretty cheap machine. The disc wouldn't read at my house but I did manage to take it to a friend's house. The game itself is like the PS2 game Buzz, but obviously if you don't have a PS2 or can't afford Buzz this game is a really handy solution. Nice compact handsets, no cables to connect to the TV, really easy to use, and a lot of fun once you get into it. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the cables from the handsets to the infrared box are short, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing, it adds to the tension in a way as everyone is on top of each other! It's bound to bring out your competitive streak. Not quite as good as Buzz but worth the money. Recommended.
