1 out of 5 stars A bit pants really   May 31, 2008
C. J. Rawson
Was really looking forward to this but like the Indiana Jones movie disappointment followed. The challenges move to quickly for the DVD remote to keep up. Fair play you can use the PC but a family that gathers around the computer for an evenings entertainment really needs to buy a board game!!
When it works this game is OK but for an extra few quid you can have the Scene it version of the game which is much better and with more replay value.

2 out of 5 stars Could be worse - but only just   February 24, 2008

The graphics and video clips are good.

Now the bad points.

The games vary from ridiculously easy to stupidly hard. Even adults CANNOT EVER win some of the games. Yet other games you couldn't get wrong without being blindfolded.

You get random points added and taken off and the points for completing a game has no relation to the difficulty of the puzzle.

The worst point though has got to be that the game doesn't seem to be completable (on some DVD players at least) We couldn't complete the last puzzle in the forest. Time after time after time we tried, but it didn't matter what buttons we pressed, or when, or if we didn't press any. Ahhhhh!

1 out of 5 stars Rubbish - software full of bugs   February 2, 2008
J. De Masi (London, UK)
This is the first review I've ever written - prompted by what rubbish this game is. It was impossible to get through the quiddich match in year one. We tried a thousand times. Controls didn't work right on TV or on 2 different PCs. Same problem others had. Plus it's very slow from one scene to the next. Moving staircases part of games was difficult because controls don't respond well either. This should never have reached the shelves. Really bad - if you buy it you will end up returning it.

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as the PC varieties!   January 5, 2008

I am a huge Harry fan and went on about this game for months to my fiancee who relented and bought it for me for Christmas. My cousin (a fan too) and I played it on boxing day on a portable dvd player. This was very poor as you could not easily press the answers you wanted. So next day I tried it on a normal dvd player to better success. However the games are a little repetitive, there does not seem any obvious progress in the stages and the instructions provided are not helpful. On the third year final challenge you have to run from warewolves however no matter what you press there seems no way of getting through and as said the instructions do not provide guidance as to what is needed. All in all a little easy for most adult fans, and confusing for all. On the up, graphics and effects very good, similar to pc versions and film clips are a nice touch. Disappointing Harry, a bit of a howler - mischeif not managed!

1 out of 5 stars Very disappointing   December 11, 2007

I got this game for my son's 11th birthday, and he had finished all the games within an hour or two. Not worth getting, in my view.
