Stargate SG-1 Series 6 Vol 27 May 4, 2003 Katrina silvester (United Kingdom) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Stargate SG1 volume 27 is so far one of the best volumes i have seen of series 6. I know there has only been one other volume of series 6 but i think this volume is much better. I haven't got Sky so haven't seen series 6 yet, if vol 27 is anything to go by then i am looking forward to 28. This volume brings out the sides of the characters to their potential especially in Abyss when you see the emotional side of Colonel O'Neill one of which we never really see especially his relationship with Dr Jackson. Also in Night Walkers, Colonel O'Neill does not appear as he is still a Tok'ra so it gives the other characters a chance to shine through. This Volume is much more amusing to watch then vol 26, from the scenes between Colonel O'Neill and Dr Jackson in Abyss to the bumbling scientists in The Other Guys. The performances of the characters are astonding especially Richard Dean Anderson and some of the shots he had to do in Abyss. This is really one of the best Stargate volumes i have watched so far, and from the Episode reviews i have seen of vol 28 then it is something to look forward too. The DVD has more extras then you can imagine, Season 6 stills, vol 28 Episode reviews, commentarys on the four episodes with guest stars such as Christopher Judge who plays Teal'c. Excellent features make this an absolute must for any stargate fan, if you haven't already go BUY IT!!
It gets better with age. April 5, 2003 Prometheus (Morecambe, England) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
With stargate reaching its sixth series with series 7 being filmed as we speak, stargate has become one of the most sucessful sci-fi shows ever. Season 6 has the return of Dr Jackson (who ascended to a higher plane in the last season) Who has to make a drastic decision in the finale. What happens? wait and see! This dvd is a must for youur collection with four more episodes with O'Neil, Carter, Teal'c and Quinn (Jonas Quinn was the replacement for Jackson. Also a character from season 5) doing what they do best, saving the world. But when they do it, they do with humour. Most of all, they do it with style. Buy it now!!!!!!!!!
