Wow what a little beauty. January 7, 2009 Mrs. J. Bugeja (London, Camberwell United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just brought this lappy and it is brilliant, and is so lovely looking especialy in white. A dream to use..Set up was a doddle..I got the Liteon Esau208-06 8x Slim External Usb2 Dvdrw + Lightscribe to go with it as obviously the small netbook has no drive, they both work together perfectly..So happy with both items.. Amazing piece of kit January 4, 2009 Mossy (stafford, uk) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this from where I work - but this netbook is one of the best available. For the money, the speed, storage space and easy to use keyboard is brilliant. The touch pad is a little on the small side, but you soon get used to that. It is very easy to upgrade the RAM too if you wanted too, I put 2GB RAM in for 11.99 delivered. Runs plenty of simple games no problems, and runs Microsoft Office and many other common programs no problems either. Highly recommended. The battery life is brilliant too.
Samung's Supermodel! December 30, 2008 Gadget Queen (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
WOW! First word that springs to mind as I type this review on my new Samsung NC10. Before you read on, a week into using it and it works like a dream. I bought the NC10 to replace a 15" widescreen Advent Laptop that I had bought around 18 months ago. This had two faulty keyboards and after two replacements, I decided it was time to sell up and move on! I spent much time researching laptops and notebooks before realising that I didn't need most of the technology that comes with either so started looking into netbooks. To my surprise, I found loads on offer, from Asus Eees, Dell, MSI Wind, Advent, Acer...the list goes on. The Samsung was a clear winner for various reasons: *93% keyboard, making it one of the easiest to use when typing lengthy emails! *6 cell battery giving you a collosal 6 - 8 hours of uncharged use (compared to the standard 2-3 hours on all other current models) *3 USB points (great for external hard drives/DVD players etc) *Smart Card reader - speaks for itself *Digital Motion Camera - in built *Windows XP (much easier to use against Linux on other netbooks) *Intel Atom processor, makes this a very smooth and hiccup free netbook to use, swapping from one function or application to another. *10.2" screen - crystal clear and easy to see (the 8.9" screens can give eyestrain!) *Beautifully made! The white model is pearl (which doesn't leave unsightly fingerprints on a glossy exterior!), chrome coloured strip around the keyboard and it's so light at 1.33kg So all in all - it is easy to use, easy to set up (wireless enabled) and easy to see! Comes with relevant kit including a Samsung velvet sleeve to slip it into when you're on the move, although I would suggest something more robust and padded. All this for under 300 - what a bargain!
7.5 hour battery life is brillian December 28, 2008 Mr. Carl Roberts (Northampton UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this for xmas, all i can say is its great. Having to fight to get it away from my partner. Its small and light at 1.3kg, battery life is the best part though, as i travel a lot Even at 30% i still had 2.5 hrs just browsing the internet. The keyboard is 93% size of a normal laptop, but easy to get used to. The enter button could be raised though. Overall performance is what you would expect and with 160gb hard drive, beats the competition, windows XP nice and easy to use. Sound isnt bad from built in speakers for the size of the machine, 3 usb's are perfect. Got the white one, very smart. Comes with suede type slip case so no need to buy another one. yes its a bit more than other netbooks but then look at the spec.
AMAIZING!!!!! December 26, 2008 Mrs. G. Herniman (Wiltshire, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was given this for christmas yesterday (christmas day) and I am really pleased with this little but powerful machine. I am half way through my GCSE's at school and plan on following on to sixth form (A-Levels) in september, so I need a small, light, robust, quick, powerful, easy to use and of course stylish, netbook that I can just slip into my bag and take it out and start using it in class with no fuss. The samsung NC10 covers every single one of those needs to the full. Couldn't of asked for a better present! When you see the netbook in flesh, its even nicer! The whole netbook is almost like 1 whole sheet of mouled plastic with a classy silver metal line around the edge. The plastic starts of glossy near the screen and as it works down towards the touchpad it gradually turns to a matt sort of texture. Word of advice though (and this goes for all netbooks, not just the samsung), do not buy a netbook to replace a laptop, I have this as well as a i-mac as it does not have a CD drive built in however you can pick these up for as little as 30, maybe even less. Great product, a definet buy.
