Panasonic KXTG 8324 December 22, 2008 Martin (Essex. UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Panasonic KXTG8324 Colour DECT Quad With Answer Machine - Black I've had these phones for a week now and they work perfectly. They look and feel good and do everything I want them to do, much better quality in all respects compared to my previous BT Freestyle 350 quad pack - so would highly recommended these phones from Panasonic.
Exceptional build and features December 7, 2008 Terry Breeds (Medway.) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
As an ex-BT employee with 40 years of service I rate these better than anything that you could buy with a BT label on. Value for money to me means that it's also got to beat the discounted price that I get as a BT pensioner. I have replaced a Panasonic twin cordless answerphone with the KXTG8324 Quad, and the results are excellent. The range of facilities such as copying memory to the other phones - easily set up one button dialling for the most used numbers - simple SMS messaging - 200 memory phonebook - great answerphone. What else do you want? Oh yes it makes and receives telephone calls and you have about 20 different ring tones which can be allocated to 8 different groups (i.e.family, Friends, businesses etc. each of which can be allocated a diferent wallpaper if you can remember which one rings with which backdrop. All in all this is an extremely good buy. Incidentally, I used Amazon Prime delivery, (next day at no cost after you've paid your Annual fee), and having ordered this at 3.00PM it was delivered the next morning at 08.15AM. Can't be bad. Full marks to Amazon and Panasonic.
Very disappointing range November 1, 2008 F. Budd (Aberdeenshire Scotland) 34 out of 38 found this review helpful
I bought these less than a week ago from Amazon as a replacement for a BT quad set which I thought were losing performance. We live in a large house with three floors and the phones were losing reception in the kitchen at the back of the house. The new phones are losing reception all over the place!! The manufacturers quote a range of 300 metres, but unfortunately houses have walls! I have spent hours setting up the phones and getting to know the functions, and I am very disappointed having to send them back and start again. Back to my old phones which are over 3 years old.
Good, but could do better! October 28, 2008 Dr. D. M. Hunt 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
I bought these to replace an ageing Philips Onis Vox DECT system (the handsets had been dropped enough times to make them useless, e.g. cracks prevent the battery contacts from connecting to the charger etc.) Good points; -bright display -clear voice, even in difficult conditions, e.g. Indian call centres -compact base unit -ability to share contacts between phones -headset feature -long talktime between charges -good range -night mode settable for each handset Bad points; -not all the keys are illuminated, e.g. pick up and put down keys -handsfree mode isn't great -the menus are clunky, e.g. four clicks to listen to a message -typing text, the cursor doesn't move to the next character automatically -ringtones are all dire, the quietest setting is too loud -base unit answering machine is very quiet -dare I say it, the built-in woman's voice sounds a tad common
One question before I buy October 11, 2008 D. C. T. Osborne (North Wales) 0 out of 12 found this review helpful
The statistics are great and I rate Panasonic highly, from experience. Howver, my current Phillips outfit has all log data shared all round. Has this set got that, to me, valuable facility?
