Very strong! November 11, 2008 Patrick__W I'm useless at looking after things. I have had numerous flash drives and broken them all. This I heard was very strong and can withstand 2000lbs of weight. Quite impressive as a statistic, but it can with stand being dropped quite easily without even looking like it will break. The usb part is retractable, so is even more protected. It is a fantastic device made by sandisk, very reliable, but even more, very well priced :D
Great at first but it stopped working after a week June 10, 2008 Disappointed (Cambridgeshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved this for the first week but after that it stopped working and was no longer recognised in any USB drives. I hadn't dropped it or done anything that I shouldn't have with it. I can't send it back as it has sensitive data on it so my money is wasted. VERY disappointed.
Swapped it for plastic version ! May 21, 2008 Regards (Buckinghamshire, England) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Titanium version is not made from titanium - although Sandisk never said it was. It is heavier than plastic version. Dislike was usb pins on connection are raised higher than any other usb connector. This causes a tight push fit, but was worried it may (over time) bend pins in receiving laptop. Why was it not made with same connection as plastic version - with usb standard flush pins. (Swap done with colleague happy with fit)
Great March 26, 2008 Ms. L. Taylor (Scotland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's a great little piece of kit. I've had mine nearly three months now and I've dropped it, stood on it etc (Yes I'm clumsy..) and it's still working! I think the software is ok. It certainly doesn't bother me. Each to their own I guess.
Good but not entirely vista ready March 21, 2008 J. Mills 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is by far the fastest flash drive I've owned. I haven't tested the quoted speed but from what I've seen it's fair enough to say it's quick. Readyboost enhanced means all areas of the drive meet a minimum speed required for Readyboost and with 4GB I was able to allocate half to vista's Readyboost. Doing this however can cause problems with the U3 software, if you use both technologies together you may stumble across some stability issues or you might not be able to eject your drive at all. Some have confused the Readyboost and U3 software in the reviews and it is very easy to remove or replace the U3 software from the drive if it comes to the worst. Just hit the launchpad enter the settings select the uninstall tab and go through the wizard, easy as pie. If the U3 software was ironed out to alleviate those bugs with vista and Readyboost then this would easily achieve 5 stars. Notes: U3 is not compatible with non windows OS so using a password on the drive can completely lock it from operation under another OS.
