If you want a Photo Frame buy Sony, full Stop October 16, 2008 Man of Kent (Kent, England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Nothing else has the picture quality or definition. Lovely features, including turn the thing on it's end and it automatically (!) converts everything to portrait from landscape. they dont habe the reputation for nothing chaps - quality!
High quality with a single flaw..... September 28, 2008 W. M. Bamford 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
I agree with the majority of the other reviewers; this is undoubtedly a very high quality photo frame and I am essentially very pleased with it. There is however a single flaw. If, like me, you upload your photos to your PC for minor manipulation (e.g. cropping or adjusting brightness etc.) with photo editing software then the new .jpeg file you create from your PC may not compatible with this photoframe. Hard to believe but true. It's even in the manual supplied with the frame! So if you simply shoot your photos and want them displayed then this frame is for you. However if you use PC based photo manipulation software then the images you create may not be compatible with this frame, regardless of how small the changes you make. Hence four stars instead of five.
Slick top class product September 17, 2008 Robinho (Haverhill, Suffolk,UK) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Bought as a gift so I preloaded some pictures onto the internal memory. This could not have been easier. Viewed the pictures and left the photo frame running for a few hours, pictures looked great. I would buy the same product again for myself for home or office. A great product for displaying your digital pictures
wow! September 8, 2008 J. Boyd (Devon, UK) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
I eagerly anticipated the arival of the Sony HD Digital photo Frame and it arrived when it should have (well done Amazon!). Within 20 mins of opening the parcel, the photo frame was on my shelf and displaying photos that had been hidden in a memory card for months without being looked at. This photo frame is easy to programme and adjust and the picture quality is excellent. A dream to have my old photos shown and with such crystal clear quality. Sony have done themselves proud with this product. The money you pay is well worth it for ease of use and picture quality. I love the ramdom selection and the clock displaying when the photo was taken. Brilliant. I look forward to taking more photos as I know they will never be hidden in a box or card or phone memory again. Memories will live forever and its sleek look is a wonderful addition to any home. 11/10. thank you
Fabulous August 31, 2008 Stretch (Northampton, England) 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
OK, it has the "iPOD" look, but it does look and feel like quality. The important bit, the actual image quality, is fantastic. Other things that I have found are important to me: 1. Image quality. Yes I know I already mentioned it, but what's the point of a picture frame with poor image quality? 2. Can display pictures in a random order. Don't take this for granted on other frames. 3. Option to stretch picture to frame size or maintain original aspect. Agan, don't assume others do this. 4. Auto on/off times just in case you forget to switch it off. 5. Large half gig internal memory 6. Automatically detects and adjusts picture to suit the way you stand the frame - portrait or landscape. All sorts of other stuff, but these were my favourites. Only thing missing is that it is mains power only. No battery option. One note generally on digital frames. Even a 9" screen is not very big by photo standards. OK on a desk or up to 6 feet away, but much further and you can't really see the image. If you're thinking about one of these for Mum/Granny then make sure it will be within 6' and obviously that there is mains power available.
