great for the price January 7, 2009 A. Richards (UK) i have had these headphones for a few years now. i use them for my computer, playing music, watching videos and even for recording my own music. the sound is good. yes they are made from plastic but i think they are still pretty well made. the wire is 3 meters long (i think) and for me its good cuz i may be walking around the room with them on and its handy but if you wona be on-the-go and have your lead wrapped around your Ipod and have a whole pocket devoted to your long lead, id advise not to because there is so much lead itl just look stupid and its just a bit of a faff really. these are not the headphones for you. the only 1 bad thing about these headphones is, they do leak sound so other people can hear your music if the volume is turned up high. other than that they are great, especialy for that price, you cant complain!
Sony MDRXD100 HIFI Headphones December 15, 2008 Mr. Peter J. Wilson (Sheffield) very pleased, decent quality sound reproduction, i liked the long lead - not quite long enough for me as i wanted to use it for the tv
poor quality August 22, 2008 M. Panaite 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
12 pounds is too much for these headphones. after a few weeks of use the sound started to interrupt. there is absolutely no insulation from environmental noise.
Good quality at an affordable price. August 12, 2008 G. Robertson (Lincolnshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wanted some headphones because I found the earbud type earphones uncomfortable when listening to my MP3 player. These headphones do an excellent job. I mainly use them with either of two devices, a Sony NWZ-A818 or an iPod Shuffle. The sound produced is very good, with a lot of bass. I did find that the volume needs to be boosted more than if listening through standard earphones, but then I don't like my music overly loud anyway. The lead is long, 3.5 metres. This might not suit everyone, but it's in the description so I can't complain. To make it more manageable, a couple of elastic bands do the trick. Please note that a 6.3mm adapter is provided in the box. The plastic used in the construction feels a little cheap, but acceptable at this price. In conclusion, top value for money and a good sound, but bear in mind they are designed for indoor use.
Excellent value August 1, 2008 MIddlestitch (London, UK) At less than a tenner, these budget headphones are amazing value. I think they are extremely comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. The long lead is a bonus if you wander round the room a bit while listening! Sound quality is very good, particularly for pop/easy listening. I also tried them while I was playing a digital piano and they were excellent - the sound was spot on. They coped well with the spoken word on a DAB radio, albeit the sound downgraded a bit. A string quartet fared less well; the sound was a bit on the weedy side, but still acceptable for everyday listening. Recommended.
