After buying some cheaper Aone DL disks and having a 100% FAILURE rate with them I thought I'd try the Verbatim discs instead. So far they have worked out perfectly, with a 100% SUCCESS rate, proving that it's not the PC or drive, but the quality of the discs that make the difference. They might be a premium cost, but they deliver the results. Buy cheap, buy twice...

I am one more happy customer. This was the first time that I've bought Double Layer DVDs and well, I've always heard good things about Verbatim media, so I didn't risk trying the cheaper ones.
I've burned a backup of an original movie DVD that I have because I don't want to lose the original media by scratching or damaging it, and it works just like the original media.
I guess that they are reliable for "normal" computer data as well, as a movie is just a stream of bits too, really.
I wouldn't recommend other brands because of other user's bad feedback on them, so go ahead and buy these, at least you won't lose a disc because of bad quality and at the end will have to end up paying more to get these anyway.

Note, if you decide to stick with amazon and buy these discs from them, they will be the 2.4x discs but you will find that they are manufactured in India, NOT Singapore. Also, the discs sold by from BC UK are 8x discs, not 2.4x as advertised. I just can't seem to get it right with these orders lol.
EDIT: I have now burnt 4 of these disks, the first 3 gave a disk read error. The last, actually stopped writing. I actually tested the image on another disc, and it worked on that.
DO NOT ORDER FROM AMAZON. THEY SUPPLY WITH DISCS MADE IN INDIA AND THOSE ONES ARE RUBBISH.

These are not actually the 2.4x DVDs. If you order BC UK will send you 8x DVDs. Which is fine if they work in your DVD drive and a pain in the neck if they don't. Now I'm trying to wrangle a replacement from the company.
