Could do better January 7, 2009 Martyn Barrett I bought one of these for my wife for xmas from Amazon UK. As she's doesn't make / take many calls in her car she didn't want the hassle of a fitted kit and after reading the other reviews this seemed perfect. Good news; As others have said, the sound quality is great (Much better than the handsfree built into my Tom Tom Satnav), and it paired with her Nokia phone easily and without problem. Bad News; You need to manually switch the thing on everytime you get in the car, common sense and not the end of the world you would think. However despite having large easy to press buttons for taking calls and adjusting the volume, the power button is a small recessed button on the back / side of the unit that needs to be pressed for 3 or more seconds. unless you want to take the unit off the visor this needs to be done by touch and it's a very small button. With the weather we're having at the moment (-10'C overnight) you can forget trying to turn it on in gloves. Like I said earlier my wife's only an occasional user, so she'll probably forget to turn it on anyway. An alternative could be to switch it on when you hear your phone ring, except by the time you've fumbled around, found the button, held it in for 3 seconds the phone and unit have paired, the call has gone to voice mail. :-( More bad news (Amazon this time) When the item arrived the box was battered, again not then end of the world but it happens in the post. but what aggravates this is the fact that when my wife opened the box on Xmas morning she found a returns note completed by whoever had had this item before and returned it as faulty. As far as I can see the item isn't faulty, but I doubt Amazon bothered to check this, else they would have removed the returns note and noticed the worn decidedly dog eared user instructions. In conclusion a good unit, let down by a power button It's not the first time I've received what looks to be second hand goods from Amazon (Non shrink wrapped and scratched CDs) so I'll be shopping around a lot more before I come back to Amazon
HF-300 - Good Results December 5, 2008 Hector-W 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For many years I have used 'fitted in car' hands free systems, however with the last car change I purchased the HF-300 and finds that it works very well. Good sound and normal conversation. I use it with Nokia 6300 telephone. I would be interested to know if this device also works with other makes of mobile, other than Nokia? Update- I have just purchased another HF-300 for another family member.
Superb Speech Quality September 26, 2008 Martin King (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Upgraded to this from a Supertooth Visorblade. Very small and compact with great speech quality. Visorblade suffered severe voice echo - callers now report superb clarity. Pricey compared to other products on the market, but well worth it for the speech clarity and small size. Only criticisms are no AC power adaptor included (charging in car is pointless as most power sockets are now ignition controlled, and a trailing lead across the steering wheel when driving isn't smart!), sun visor bracket is quite thick preventing sun visor fully closing, and mute button isn't desperately easy to operate whilst driving. In summary - the best of several I've tried, if voice quality rather than features is what you are after.
Neat hands-free solution September 3, 2008 P. M. Lister (Peterborough, UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very clear when in use, voice prompts work great with my Nokia 6500 Slide. The charger is the same as for the Nokia phone, so I can use the charger I got with the HF-300 for either unit in the car. Sometimes when dialing out there is a second or so delay before the person on the other end hears my voice. Now I know it happens it's not such a problem, but it can be a bit awkward if they think at first there is no-one there. Very good battery life so far. Highly recommended.

This handsfree works brilliantly. It pairs easily, and is fairly loud. I use it in a van and car, and I would highly recommend it! I used several headsets before this, and got fed up of losing them, but this does a better job and has an excellent battery life!
