Photosmart 3310 August 27, 2008 Mrs. Caroline Booth (London, England) I bought this product in August 2006. It worked for 3 months and then I had to return it to HP as it was faulty. They replaced it with a new one. It is now August 2008 and it has completely packed up saying 'Ink system failure' and 'carriage jammed'. I spoke to HP and they said they could replace the part for 155. Considering I spent 269 on this machine which a fair amount I am appalled at this offer. I certainly would not recommend this product if it is only going to last 2 years and with limited use. I have tried doing all the repairing that HP have recommended and nothing works. I will not buy one of these again.
It's only a matter of time before you find out how awful this is! February 17, 2008 Martin D. Jackson (Weatherford, Texas.) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ok, so there have been some good and some bad reviews for this product and you're probably in two minds as to who's right. Well, I can almost guarantee that if you were to look back here in 12-18 months time, those people who gave the machine a good review will most likely have changed their story. I bought one of these machines within days of them being released and within just hours of owning it, it died. I can't recall the exact fault but after being in touch with HP for what seemed like hours, they gave up the ghost and told me to take it to an authorised repairer.......Not likely matey, I'll have my hard earned pennies back from Amazon thank you very much! Being the type of guy to give a person (or machine) a second chance I (stupidly) went and bought a second unit having convinced myself that the first time was a one off fault......BAD idea! Although the second unit worked fine for a while, along came Mr Gremlin and shot it dead the moment the warranty expired! Now when I can get to use it(which is rare) I have to nurse it along just to print out a page or two. The display is inelligable, the wireless link never works so I use a USB cable and it's basically a sick old cow. Honestly, a fart in a wind tunnel would be more use than this machine. I owned an old Cannon before this and never had a problem until the day it decided to die. I'll be going back to Cannon. Incidentaly, I spend half my time is the U.S and bought a HP2610 over there a couple of years ago, they're just as bad as these so it seems that whoever is manufacturing these for HP is doing a bloody poor job. HP need a kick in the rear for a total lack of roadtesting these machines, if they'd have been tried and tested then we wouldn't have to write these crappy reviews!
2 printers, same fault, 400 down - never buy HP!!!!! October 16, 2007 A. J. Cripps (The Midlands, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Packed up after 13 months, no black ink coming through, yes cartridge has been replaced! HP support useless, I think it's based in Brazil or some other arse end of nowhere to uk judging by their English skills. Never buying HP again not after 290 down the swanny, no repairer wants to touch it as it's a nightmare to get into it! Replacement failed after 6months! DO NOT BUY HP - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - SEEN SAME FAULTS WITH OTHER PRINTER MODELS TOO - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - DO NOT BUY HP
photosmart 3310 printer not recognised May 23, 2007 J. M. Dunn 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I paid quite a lot for this printer when it first came out, I needed an all in one asap. I agree with other reviewers it is pretty good, but I do get through ink fairly quickly without printing many photos etc. One word of advice: I had a strange problem which HP couldn't sort out, the pc suddenly wouldn't recognise the printer, after 18 months of working well. I tried everything I could think of, including reinstalling all the software, went round in circles for 2 days, until I read someone else had the exact problem with this printer. Switch off everything, but leave for at least 5 mins. Printer found again. Simple!
best there is! November 18, 2006 R. Searle 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
We needed a good printer for our wi-fi laptop, and future home entertainment PC. This does the job standing on its head. I read the other reviews and it seemed to make a good impression. I thought I would have some trouble getting it to go wi-fi. I have to say it was text book stuff. Dead easy, no glitches, no cancel or re-starts. This is the first. Bonus! this is the cats wiskers as far as pictures are concerned. It evens prints a photo off a video clip! Operating it using the display panel is so obvious and straight forward my grandson aged 6 can do it - often better than me. It even comes with a full blown, idiots level, proper paper manual. Go and buy it now.
