Good but... January 9, 2009 Raoul Duke I have to agree with 'Sathya Srinivasan'. I'm on my third controller in less than a year. I had to replace the controller I got with the console as the left trigger started making a squeaking noise (like it needed oiling) and the Y button stuck. The replacement controller that I bought developed a sticky left trigger and the thumbstick started making a horrible clicking noise (much louder than the normal sound). Despite my experiences, however, I can't give this controller any less than a three due to the excellent ergonomics of the bugger. It's just a shame that the build quality is typically Microsoft (I'm on my fourth X360 since early 2006, but that's a different story).
A must! September 24, 2008 Frosty 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's quite simple really :). In terms of technology now it's all about being wireless. So if you are looking to buy a new controller, for the extra dosh it is definitely worth buying this one and not the wired one. No cables, no mess, no fuss. Plus the black looks much cooler than the white.
Very swish May 18, 2008 Lee Morrison (Scotland) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Great looks, great functionality and quite robust. As a controller thrower, this thing has been airborne many a time and the only damage is a slightly loose left stick which still works perfectly. The only criticisms I have are a rubbish D-Pad and if you like to have a finger on all shoulder buttons you may find it difficult to hold. The right stick position is also a little strange but it becomes second nature quickly. A good size for small and big hands I think this is one of the best controllers made. And everything looks better in black!
It is what it is April 8, 2008 Nick (London) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
It's the xbox 360 controller, you pretty much know what it's like, great design, extremely comfortable and for the same price as the white one, the black one is the better choice! Once you go black, you'll never go back ;)
Cheap Plastic - Bad quality March 10, 2008 Sathya Srinivasan (UK) 2 out of 39 found this review helpful
Please take a second to give a good review. I purchased the Elite 360 package and day 1 started the game and within 10 minutes, the right joystick started to lock! the trigger was making creaky noise and the console tray where you put the DVD is another piece of cheap plastic. looks like all's made and shipped from china or something.. no doubt the console itself is amazing - and the games are superb - but the quality of the product is very very bad! i have the original xbox and the controllers over there are perfectly solid!!! Just because it's XBOX, it doesnt mean that all's rose & wine! - very dissapointed for the money i paid!
