Amazon.co.uk Review Carve out a virtual life for yourself as hero or villain in the fantasy world of Fable II, where nothing is pre-determined. Create your own character, male or female, and control them over their whole lifetime. Watch as they grow up and then make the tough moral choices that will affect their abilities and how the world sees them. Some cities are huge, with a complex infrastructure for you to exploit | Acting for good or evil can have a permanent physical effect on your features | Guns are commonplace, but swordfighting is still vitally important | Not all your enemies are human in the world of Fable | Set in the land of Albion 500 years after the first game (such that primitive guns are now in widespread use), you can either seek to rid the land of evil or conquer the realm for yourself. The game features an all new combat system, allowing you to use a range of melee and ranged weapons, while death brings only a loss of experience. But the game need not be about fighting at all if you don’t want it to be. You can buy property and become a mayor, or get married and have children. Many games call themselves role-players, but here the nature of your role is entirely up to you. Key Features - Game of life: Mould your own character and watch them grow into adulthood, their features changing according to the deeds they perform for good or evil.
- Virtual reality: Will you be a charming evil doer or an antisocial hero? The role you play is entirely up to you as you follow the game’s story or ignore it to do your own thing.
- New age of combat: Wield a huge range of weapons, including swords, axes, and newly available muskets. Or master a range of magic spells with up to 80 different varieties available.
- Team up: Invite a friend into your game at any time and play with them in co-operative mode.
- Best friend: Every character gets a chance to own a pet dog, one who will help you to find your way through the game world, attack enemies, or just be a good friend.

awesome game....... November 7, 2008 Mr. James Murray (Scotland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this is a really good game but it does have its drawbacks. there are times when it can be really glitchy, the storyline is pretty short, etc. but over all il rate this game as a four star. its kinda ruined by peter molyneux appearing EVERYWHERE that has Fable 2 to its name. the limited edition itself is a great buy. you get loads of in-game content including the master chief armour which i have worn from the beginning of the game to the end, a legendary sword "The Wreckager", access to "The Hall of the Dead" and 48 hour free trial xbox live. not to mention the cool sideways case. im not normally the RPG gamer but this is the best RPG ive played. BUY THIS GAME!
Wait until its fixed October 29, 2008 Mr. M. BENNETT (Medway, Kent, UK) 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've have been waiting for this game since it was announced and can confirm that when its running its amazing, however there seems to be major problems with the game freezing every few minutes and I would wait until Lionhead provide a fix, its so frustrating having the game and being unable to play except for a few minutes. I had the same problem with Oblivion when it was released and it wasnt until months later, replacement discs and new patches that I could play the game properly. Just hope they sort this out very soon as the game is awesome when you can get it working.
Whats so special? October 29, 2008 Mr. A. D. Carratt (England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Essentially overall its the same old game but with some key differences, an extra quest awaits the owners as does some Master Chief armour nicknamed Hal's armour along with an energy sword. Pretty cool, just can't get rid of chief. These features are ONLY accessible if you have Xbox Live so don't buy this for nothing. Theres also a special features disc with some interesting videos on it. This is a game full of passion. A fully fledged five stars all the way.
Fable 2, Pure Genious October 26, 2008 Mrs. L. V. Wade (Stoke-on-Trent, England) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
Fable 2, the sequal to the #1 rpg on the xbox is no dissapointment, just like fable it has a wide range of clothing to cuztimize your character, but this time u get a pal, yes the dog is the best thing tht has happended to fable just being able to throw his squeek toy miles into the water anwathcing him dive off a massive cliff and risk his life for a 5gp peice of rubber is hilarious, the only down side to the game is tht it does consist off alot off button mashing, but if played tacticaly can be really fun so overall i would say this game is a must have for the 360, 5 stars :P .
