There are so many flaws in this game its a struggle to rembember them all. The Game seems to want you to crash, a few times before ive actually even hit an object or another car the stupid crash animation comes on (which lasts about 10 seconds)when sometimes the crash could've been avoided. In the previous Burnout's if you glanced against a car you would not crash but in this game if you even touch another car you immediately crash.
Another problem is the navigation, you have a map in the corner and street signs flash up on the screen telling you which route to take but normally as soon as you look at the map or the street signs you crash; if you ignore them and concentrate on the racing then you miss the turning and the whole race is lost. Many times the signs flash up too late to actually turn.
One thing that really gets on my nerves about this game is the fact that you have to drive to all the races. In N.f.s. carbon, you could skip to the races using the world map. In Paradise you have to drive all the way to a race, sometimes on the other side of the city. start the race which usually sends you completley back across the city only to lose it by a few seconds but there is no option of a retry. The only option is to make a u-turn and drive alllllll the way back to where you just came from which after your tenth attempt becomes incredibly tedious.

God dammit!! I mean seriously. I hate racing games. I've found one that I like and it hates me!! Even crashing is cool here. So much so that it has to remind you every 30 seconds (because that's how often you'll crash). That aside, it's great fun, a superb mach 11 racing game. There's so much to do and you can choose what you want to do at any given time. It will keep you glued to your screen for hours even if it's just "to get that bloody stunt run, I know I can!!". Plus the Party Pack is coming out in early 2009 so more fun for you and your friends. Even without that, it gets competitive if you take turns at various tasks and it's fun. I just annihilated one of my friends scores on the showtime record, more entertainment to come. Buy it! Buy it now!!

I played the demo about a year ago and recently about 2 months ago I bought the full game.
I started off really liking this game knowing that it will get repetative and that the smart crash effects will eventually start getting old.
When you only have a choice whether to - Race, Stunt Run, Road Rage & be the Marked Man - not to mention - Burning Routes, you will soon realise that the game will become boring with a capital B.
I'm not saying you won't have fun and trying to complete the game 100% will not be easy by all means.
This game is only good to play with about 5 of your friends so it won't feel as boring and that you won't aggravate yourself too much.
What I mean by this is that the Traffic can get bloody annoying and soon the computer will build up a vendetta against you if you keep winning!
There too many faults to name in this game and I was surprised to find what I spent my money on was not worth it - playing the demo is even a smarter choice!
I would only suggest you try out the demo or rent it at least but don't buy this game unless your a complete Burnout Fanatic!

This game is probably the most cared for and looked after games by it's developers. Criterion Games. Now I know that's a strange start to this review but i'll explain. It was created from the ground up to be a game that was made for the consumer, the actual game player. They started working on this game before Burnout Revenge came out. And it shows. Starting with the environment the game is set. 250 sq. miles of city, town, village and mountain roads. Every road, corner, cut through, jump, tunnel, short cut all highly detailed, starting with the materials used, litter, grass, mud, rivers road signs. Through to traffic, parked cars, lakes, landmarks, buildings, skyscrapers, suspension bridges, and dams. All placed and worked out along the Burnout premise of speed and dramatic gameplay. Then the cars, which have been created with the same amount of time and thought. At the time of this review there are 79 cars, each unique. 3 types of boost, and handling ability. Burnout - simple really...get a car...smash the heck out of it...WITH YOUR MATES!!!!
This?...no 2 player mode...CRIMINAL!!!!
No it feels like Need for Speed...and what's the point of that?!!??
Save your money...and play Burnout Revenge.
