would have bought it - BUT WILL NOT BECAUSE OF DRM ! December 2, 2008 kmiuk i really planned to buy this awesome game but when i heard it has the same drm-restrictions as spore i changed my mind at ones. i have to agree on this (like others said): the DRM restrictions are really really annoying for the paying customers - and the pirates are going to crack it anyway - then going to play the game without the restrictions!! so i will boycott THIS and every other DRM resctricted game.
Rockstar cheating on the customer December 1, 2008 M. Schmalzl (Stuttgart, Germany, EU) Great game but sadly you cant buy it but only rent it. That because it uses Securom, a virus-software which is installed on your PC together with this game. So this software is a no-go, or would you rent a car for the full price?
Stop wasting bandwidth with "opinions" about securerom..FFS ! December 1, 2008 S. Wilson (England) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Stop bloody writing reviews when you DONT EVEN HAVE THE GAME. The security stuff is not a problem for me at all. The game is getting great reviews, so how about people focus on the actual gameplay rather than other issues that people have no experience with because they have not even installed the game !
DRM's terrible, no sale here December 1, 2008 C. Hewitt (N.Yorkshire, UK) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Was going to buy this but i won't be now, DRM will kill pc gaming, sad state of affairs. Piracy carries on regardless of some stupid restriction put on the game
When will they learn? December 1, 2008 Jonathan M. O. Connor 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
It's about time publishers realised that imposing restrictions on PAYING customers will not deter pirates, who can circumvent these measures, but will only deter paying customers. On the plus side I have saved myself in excess of 100 this year by avoiding buying titles that have this stupid drm/virus in place.
