An excellent easy to use scanner December 16, 2008 M. G. Turnbull (Northampton, England) I purchased this scanner to transfer my recently deceased father-in-law's slides to the computer. Having tried two other machines unsuccessfully I installed this one and 'hey presto' it is so easy to use. The quality is fantastic. well done Epson

I wanted to put some 1500 slides onto the computer and initially purchased the unit sold by Maplin - which gave appalling results and was returned. (took 3 weeks and 3 phone calls to see my cash again!) Did what I should have done in the first place -read the reviews on Amazon. This came out as a good unit - believe you me, its brilliant. Great results from the first slide. Others have said the slide carrier is flimsy - it is, and doesnt need to be any stronger. Just locate it in the scanner where it should be, then load your slides. When they're done, lift it out, tap the edge and the slides drop out, back in the scanner and you're ready for the next lot. Takes abot 6 minutes to scan 4 slides giving 4.3mp jpegs. All 1500 slides are now done, and the scanner is as good as new still. Going to try negatives next. Great product - don't hesitate to get one if like me you've got a lot of slides to do

great value November 5, 2008 blues picker 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this on the strength of two things - reviews and price. Couldn't be more pleased with it. OK it's not the best in the world but for my purposes it fits the bill very well. Didn't cost the earth, scans documents and film at a very acceptable quality and has sufficient user control to make it that bit more flexible without being at all difficult to operate.

I purchased the Epson Perfection v200, for 67.32. I ordered on the 29th oct, expecting to wait a few days, but on the 31oct the scanner arrived. Seems to work ok with the slides and film I used (some 30 years old), excellent service from Amazon, and a good product. Anyone tell me how to transfer from the file manager to a folder??? would be grateful, thank you. Got it before money taken from Bank. That cant be bad.
