No problem! February 25, 2007 Mr. M. S. Harrington (Ravenglass, Cumbria, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sorry to hear about Software User's bad experience but I couldn't disagree more with his review. I recently installed Powerdesk Pro 6 to work with XP Professional and it's fine. The update didn't derail it either. I used PD4 happily on my old computer with Win95 and 98SE. PD6 Pro is a great improvement on PD4 and so far it works happily with everything, especially with Drag-to-Disk on Synchronize, which is a real joy to me. Hibernation: no problem. Don't be put off by one bad review. After a year of messing about with Windows Explorer since I pensioned off my old computer, it's great to have Powerdesk back with all the bells and whistles.
Powerdesk Pro 6.0 Service Patch Breaks / Binds Windows "Hibe January 24, 2006 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
This review is for PowerDesk 6 .. patch update. Initial install of 6.0 works fine. The patch, however, breaks or otherwise binds Windows "Hibernate" for XPSP2. This was installed to a virgin (lab quality) installation of SP2 previously checked for installation errors at each point of application installation & software update. No anti-virus / malware apps installed to create forward or otherwise "hidden issues (for the purpose of testing).Software caused "lock-up" in Windows Hybernate attempt to execute. System Restore did not correct. "Last Known Good" did not correct. Fortunately my Ghost image did. Attempted repeat of same scenario (repeatedly) with the same outcome. This software isn't the same software offering of a couple years ago. Look elsewhere. Technical support could care less.
