I've used MacLink for a few years, and the upgrade to version 13 was worth it. Drag and Drop to translate, or set up a converter for several files at once, it could not be easier. Just in case you can't manage that there is an application included. It also integrates into the system so double-clicking can offer to open an unknown file with "MacLinkPlus Translation". It can also identify where files came from and can fix Creator and File Types.
So why only 3star? Well it can be a so-and-so at times, when it cannot find translators - and this happens so often that there is information on the DataViz web site! Also as we have just bought Office 2001 it is less useful than it was.
Still for an occasional dabbler in the world of Windows, or even if you get strange things from the Web, it can save several headaches. I've even used it to translate Word files to a lower version for Windows users!
