Please be aware that I have been using CorelDraw since edition (5)- so I may be a little predjudiced!
Let's start with the down side...still waiting a raw file fix so that it will open Sony Alpha A350 camera raw files. Corel obviously knows about this through it's discussion groups. A small issue perhaps but it won't convert them straight out of the box...yet (apr 08)...
Now the good points- the live view of thumbnail images, on screen, in program- just pick it out the scrapbook and drop it on the page for editing in photopaint ( photopaint is part of the program suite) is still unsurpassed. You cannot do this in or with photoshop.
The bitmap image converter that turns your jpeg etc into vector images ( infinitely expandable) built in is a smart piece of kit, worth the price alone, I propose.
I have not even got around to the 'Draw' part of the program.
That is another universe.
Various reviews say not worth the upgrade from CorelDraw X3 suite. I disagree; especially If you buy the education edition. You can save yourself a fortune & upgrade today.
In a nutshell...
Best Corel product yet.
