The worst toy ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! January 8, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I'm a kid and I thought this toy was HORRIBLE!!!!!! It doesn't stay up right, and the jumprope was impossible to jump in! The spinning rope spun WAY to fast, and it was really frustrating! My dad felt really bad. BEWARE! This toy is NOT fun and very dangorous!
Frustration May 9, 2004 P (ohio) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
My daughter had to have it. Watching the TV commercial sold her she loves to jump rope. After hours of frustration it seem no matter what we did, the rope would not hit the ground, it would not make a big enough arc big for her to jump into. It seemed to want spiral rather than make an arc. I say buyer beware. The commercial is well constructed not the product. I give this a ZERO rating for breaking a little girls heart and making a dad look in incompetent.
Sending Back April 12, 2004 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
My daughter is a jumprope fanatic and after reading the first 2 reveiws, I thought this would make a great gift. But after 2 hours of trying to figure out how to get it to work properly, we have packed it up and are returning. I agree with the 3rd review. We had the exact same problem and the rope doesn't seem heavy enough. We even tried to tie something to the rope to weigh it down. My daughter was very frustrated with the horizontal floor model as well. It spins extremely too fast and doesn't offer any speed variation. Very disappointing!
This is a piece of JUNK April 4, 2004 Frustrated (Novi, Michigan, USA) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
I don't know if the other reviewer ever took the Jump Dancer out of the box, because when you do, you will find that it does not exactly work the way you see it on TV! No matter what we did, the rope would not hit the ground, it would not arc big enough for a small child to jump into it. Instead, it spiraled about 12-18 inches off the ground. I think the rope is too light weight to make the necessary arc. When set up to spin in a circle, the plastic arm that hold the rope would consistenly come flying out after just a minute of use. It was the most frustrating experience. I had to pack it back up and request a refund. I would give this a ZERO rating if I could.
Best rope jumping toy ever. Everyone can jump! August 27, 2003 16 out of 23 found this review helpful
This is a great toy. It sets up easily in either of 2 modes. It can be set up to turn the rope horizontally, so the kids can jump like they classically jump rope. Up to 3 kids can easily jump at the same time. They can do "in and outs", "show their shoes", touch the ground, and do turn-arounds. Also, the toy can be set-up so that it turns a shorter rope (also included) in a circle above the ground. 6-8 kids can jump at a time. This toy is very well made, has selectable times for jumping, and is even beautiful to look at. Finally someone has developed and is offering a great sport toy primarily for girls. Indoors or outside - this offers tremendous play (and exercise!) value and keeps the kids jumping. The batteries last a long time, and the motorized rope keeps perfect time. Great for parties. Why hasn't someone thought of this before?
