I agree that the filter rate is slow and the water does not come out very quickly but it tastes fine to me (it did taste strange at first but it could be that the device was new). The Brevilles have a lot of bad reviews but I have used this one for nearly two months now and have never drunk as much water on such a regular basis - it can only be a good thing!

I purchased this water cooler to replace a Breville one which had broken: it is nowhere near as good. Filtration rate is extremely slow. The taps dispense water at a dribble, so it takes ages to fill a glass; the Breville taps were power driven. The taps are low down so you have to use a very small glass and unlike the Breville a kettle will not fit under the tap. The water tastes disgusting as well! I would have bought the new Breville filter/cooler but it had bad reviews so I went for this one. Wish I hadn't as it is no better than a filter jug.
