Great Little Iron Generator....BUT !!!! November 10, 2008 Mrs. Ruth Trigg (South Wales) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had my Phillips GC8220 Steam System Iron for almost a year now. It was brilliant for the first few months or so but I noticed that the water tank was leaking. It started as a trickle and evenually the leak soaked through a well folded towel in next to no time. In my despair I sealed all the joints with stong adhesive glue. It did the trick and I am back ironing as happily as ever. Apart from the leak it does the job of ironing really well.
Worth every penny! November 4, 2008 L. Russell (Scotland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This iron is amazing! It cuts your ironing time in half, I really hate ironing so I bought this after reading the reviews and I'm glad I did. My partner has some shirts that are murder to get the creases out-not with this iron! The end results are great. It's worth every penny, I'd thoroughly recommend it.
Fantastic Iron October 22, 2008 N. J. CRAWSHAW 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a steam generator for a while and all the reviews for this iron were really good so I bought one. Best thing i ever did. As soon as the iron arrived I just had to try it out, it is amazing. The steam output is great for stubborn creases, and it literally steams through the ironing. The iron just glides across the clothes, I have told all my friends and family they should buy one, it may seem expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have seen the same irons for 50 more at other stores. A brilliant iron.
Excellent Iron! October 20, 2008 V. Harvey (Norfolk, UK.) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I can't recommend this iron too highly. Expensive but worth every penny (at the time of purchase, Amazon was the cheapest price I could find). Well considered filling mechanism (you can take the tank to the sink), water heats v.quickly and it's a light and comfortable iron to use. I kept the base unit on the kitchen worktop as it's heavy when full and my ironing board is not too stable. Doing this did not impair use as there's a long cable from the base to the iron. Makes ironing a pleasure instead of a chore!
Excellent October 16, 2008 S. Rehman (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Got this iron after reading reviews in Which and others comments. Never spent this much money on a iron but i was not disappointed. Takes 1-2 mins to warm up but its is excellent. Its very light and effortless to use. Irons brilliantly. Would recommend anytime
